Alternative Fuel Source Coming To Higgins Lake
Higgins Lake, Michigan U.S.A.
Higgins Lake, Michigan is a beautiful lake that draws people to it from all over the world. It currently attracts over 643,000 people a year to its two state parks. Additionally people visit to stay at second homes, private resort cottages and local bed & breakfasts. Higgins Lake and its surrounding forests and streams are pristine.
Environmental Problems with Gasoline
People also bring to Higgins Lake their boats, jet skis, snowmobiles and recreational vehicles. These all run on gasoline, which pollutes the Lake. This creates a serious environmental problem for Higgins Lake, especially with growing numbers of visitors each year.
How to Protect the Environment
The solution to our environmental problem is to protect this area just as there is protection in areas such as Yellowstone and the Mammoth Caves just to name a few. A way in which we can protect the lake is to introduce an environmentally friendly alternative fuel. Higgins Lake is a perfect site for a prototype alternative fuel station, which would sell an alternative fuel/energy source to serve and protect the Lake.
What's Next
We plan to introduce an alternative fuel source to the Higgins Lake area. To do this we will work with federal, state and local governments, area universities and a large oil company, in addition to anyone else who is interested in promoting tourism, economics and a healthier environment. We will make this all possible by building an alternative fuel station prototype in the Higgins Lake area.
